What

insta compute deployments lists a compute service's deployments, and insta compute rollback puts an earlier one back with no rebuild. Needs InsForge/instacloud-platform#686.

How

  • rollback with no --to picks the newest eligible deployment before the live one. --to takes a full id or a unique 8 character prefix.
  • It prints what is restored and what is kept before asking, and needs --yes off a terminal, the same rule as insta template rollback.
  • A backend without the routes gets a plain "not supported yet" error instead of a raw 404.

Verify

  • npm run typecheck && npm test: 2276 passed.

Summary by cubic

Adds insta compute deployments to list a compute service's deployment history and insta compute rollback to restore an earlier deployment without a rebuild. Requires InsForge/instacloud-platform#686; backends without the routes get a plain "not supported yet" error instead of a raw 404.

  • rollback with no --to picks the newest successful deployment before the live one that runs a different image; --to accepts a full id or a unique 8-character prefix.
  • Restores the deployment's image, port, and start command (only the image for backfilled deployments) and keeps variables, scale, domains, volume, and databases.
  • Pauses GitHub auto-deploy if it was on, until re-enabled in the console.
  • Prints what is restored and kept before asking; --yes is required off a terminal.

Written for commit 21baacc. Summary will update on new commits.
