Documents compiled releases (--compiled, alpha) and NativeScript's development options: TypeScript or SwiftUI.

A new Dev Options sidebar group:

  • TypeScript or SwiftUI: develop with NativeScript and ship with no JavaScript runtime, either as SwiftUI (live) or as TypeScript compiled to Swift and Kotlin.
  • TypeScript, Compiled: overview, getting started, configuration (including the pluginReplacements, pluginSources and stubPlugins plugin options), iOS, Android, what works (supported frameworks, coverage, preview limits and known differences), reporting issues (ns compiled report) and FAQ.
  • SwiftUI, Live (preview).

The Publishing section now lists its store guides. The introduction links to the new section in one sentence.

The pages describe the 9.2.0 public preview (9.2.0-alpha.1): nativescript@alpha, @nativescript/core@alpha and @nativescript/compiler@alpha.

- What works: a Preview limits section listing what a compiled release refuses
at build time (Angular forms, [ngClass]/[ngStyle], route guards and
resolvers, <ng-content>, *pagerItem and the other refused Angular features,
binary-only plugins, and on Android an instance's own function for a class
method), and the known limit that converted values and arrays are copies.
- Angular's supported pipes and RxJS per platform.
- Configuration: stubPlugins, and a Plugin options section with an example of
  pluginReplacements, pluginSources and stubPlugins.
- Getting started: core and the compiler must match; the webpack 5.111.1
workaround is gone now that @nativescript/webpack 5.0.39 is out.
