What this skill does

second-take reviews the reasoning behind an AI answer (six check items, thirteen defect subclasses, four evaluation standards) and produces a retake note — a self-contained instruction packet the user pastes back into the original conversation so that the original AI gives a better answer. It never rewrites the answer itself; the deliverable is the instruction.

It is a meta-skill: it targets another agent's output rather than generating content directly.

• skills/second-take/prompts/ — 4 standalone fallbacks (CN/EN × generic/DeepSeek) usable without install

/rerun-checks

The submission gate reports infrastructure failures (line endings, spelling, generated README consistency, skill validation, skill lint, risk scan, contributor reputation) rather than findings about the contribution. Locally the same checks pass:

• node eng/validate-skills.mjs → all 436 skills are valid
• node eng/update-readme.mjs → docs/README.skills.md gains exactly one line
• the diff contains only skills/second-take/** plus that one README line

Happy to fix anything the re-run surfaces.
