A zero-config, directory-based HTTP REST mock server with CORS support and latency injection.

Why fast-mock?

Spinning up Docker containers or setting up complex mock engines is unnecessary when developing frontends or testing agents.

With fast-mock, your filesystem directory is your API:

  • mocks/users.json $\to$ GET /users
  • mocks/users.post.json $\to$ POST /users
  • mocks/auth/token.json $\to$ GET /auth/token

Quick Usage

# Start server on default port 3000
npx fast-mock

# Custom directory and artificial 200ms latency
npx fast-mock --dir ./api-fixtures --port 4000 --delay 200
