Summary

The v2.3.0 Publish Docs run built the v2 documentation successfully, then failed rebuilding v1.4.1: NU1902 flagged private Microsoft.Build.Tasks.Git 8.0.0 brought in by Microsoft.SourceLink.GitHub 8.0.0 (GHSA-23fw-v26w-5fgq). The combined site did not deploy.

Backport the one-line SourceLink update from #1873: Microsoft.SourceLink.GitHub 8.0.0 → 10.0.401. Preserve PrivateAssets="All"; no SDK version, runtime, API, release version, warning policy, or NuGet auditing changes.

Validation

  • dotnet build --nologo: passed, zero warnings/errors.
  • dotnet test --no-build --nologo --filter 'Execution!=Manual': 6,816 passed, 51 skipped, zero failed, after restoring the existing pinned npm dependencies with npm ci.
  • Actual v1 branch make generate-docs: passed, zero warnings/errors, with NuGet auditing intact.

Publication plan

After human merge and separate dispatch approval, manually run docs.yml with docs_source=latest-branches. This intentionally serves current branches; release/1.x already includes the documentation-only updates in #1729 and #1827.

The published v1.4.1 tag remains unchanged. Default release-tag documentation builds will remain blocked until a later v1 release includes the dependency fix. This PR does not dispatch the workflow.
