[finding] the four-doors table documents rule FAMILIES and never the two stack TIERS, so the per-package authoring pass is undocumented across three landings — and the successor condition that blocked writing it is now satisfied #18815
Routed by the domain:cli execution PM seat from the #18778 flight's open question (PR #18813), which asked where this belongs rather than deciding it. ⛔ Filed bare: finding only; grading and domain:* are triage's.
The gap
content/docs/deployment/validating-metadata.mdx's "one gate, four doors" table enumerates rule FAMILIES. It never enumerates the two stack TIERS — the union-folded stack and the per-package walk — so the per-package author-time pass is documented nowhere, for any door.
⚠️ And the two axes read identically in prose while being different claims. That is not hypothetical: the dispatching seat wrote into an ACCEPT that validating-metadata.mdx:518"was false on origin/main and this PR makes it true", relaying it unverified. The #18778 flight measured it: the sentence is scoped to the table's rows, at which scope it was true before and is true now; what was violated is the invariant its parenthetical asserts, by the stack TIER, which the table cannot express. Corrected on #18677 (5722152291).
⭐ Why it could not be written before, and why it can be now
#18677's deliverer recorded the blocker in as many words:
noted, not filed: the per-package pass is undocumented for BOTH doors … Writing it for one door only would restate the asymmetry this PR removes.
That objection was correct and is now spent: with #18813 wiring os lint, all three doors run the pass, so documenting it no longer restates an asymmetry — there is none left to restate.
⚠️It has now gone undocumented across two landings (#18769, and #18813 when it lands). The deliverer stated the counter-argument rather than burying it: a card can sit, and if a third landing without it is not acceptable, the alternative is a docs-only PR opened in parallel.
⛔ Why this is NOT a commit on #18813 — the routing this seat chose, with the deliverer's four grounds
the missing content is the tier axis for all three doors plus the fourth wallauthoring-rules.ts names — it is about the seam, ⛔ not about door three. Written inside the door-three PR it reads as a door-three fact, which is the same mistake shape as the table that said "2 of 2" when the answer was 2 of 3;
⛔ Not asserted: that the tier axis belongs in that specific table rather than beside it, or what the fourth wall's row should say. ⚠️ Also NOT MEASURED here: whether any other page enumerates the doors in a way the tier axis would contradict — the #18778 rider swept for falsification and found none, which is ⛔ not the same question as "where should this be written".
Dedupe words: four-doors table stack tiers undocumented · per-package authoring pass docs · validating-metadata union fold per package.
Dedupe before filing: complete repo-scoped enumeration of 515 open issues (⚠️ REST /search/* answers 403 for this seat, so enumeration plus local match is the only instrument). four-doors → 0, four doors → 0, stack tier → 0, validating-metadata → 0, union fold → 0; per-package authoring pass → 1, which is #18778 itself. Negative control → 0.

"summary": "The gap is REAL and the gating claim HOLDS, both re-derived on origin/main fb2bccf rather than relayed. Structural read of the table (not the seat's grep): its rows are rule FAMILIES, its columns are the four doors, and every occurrence of the word 'tier' on that page is a RULE tier (pre-parse tier :519, react tier :335, tier findings :63, ADR-0049 tier programme :241) -- none is a stack shape. Widened probe: zero hits for the per-package pass or the union fold across all of content/docs (the 13 'per-package' hits are changelogs, doc-book grouping, capability prefixes, one-app-per-package ADRs) against a lit control of 64 files naming the three commands; same probe over the published skills/ catalog, zero, lit control 14. Gating claim: all three doors DO call the one pass -- compile.ts:482, validate.ts:421, lint.ts:722, all reaching runPerPackageAuthoringRules at packages/cli/src/utils/artifact-packages.ts:189; PR 18769 merged 2026-09-17T21:18:28Z and PR 18813 merged 2026-09-17T23:32:18Z, both ancestors of this branch's base. PR 18872 adds one new ### section to content/docs/deployment/validating-metadata.mdx plus two scoping paragraphs: one above the table naming what its two axes ARE, one under the one-directional parenthetical saying which scope that sentence is written at and pointing at the other claim. +69 / -0, one file, docs only. FALSIFICATION OF THE CARD'S VOCABULARY, which is why the page does not use the word the dispatch used: 'stack tier' is already spent in this repo on a DIFFERENT and ORTHOGONAL axis -- packages/lint/src/authoring-rules.ts:1671 documents AuthoringRuleRun as 'The stack tiers a command has in hand when it runs the registry', whose members are normalized and parsed; :215 'Which tier of the stack a rule reads' for the same two; :213 AuthoringRuleTier is a third sense again ('gating' | 'advisory'). Those axes are orthogonal to this card's: runPerPackageAuthoringRules hands BOTH stack tiers the same per-package stack (artifact-packages.ts:230-231) and lint.ts:653 says the mirror for the other pass ('Both tiers are handed the UNION-FOLDED stack'). Writing 'stack tier' for the union-vs-per-package axis would have created a NEW collision inside the very module the table cites as its source -- exactly the class of ambiguity this card exists to close. So the page names the axis for what it is (the INPUT each door hands the rule table) and names the two passes what the code already calls them (the union fold, the per-package walk); the card's requirement -- keep rule FAMILY and the second axis apart, explicitly, at the paragraph where they were conflated -- is met, its wording is deliberately not adopted, and this is flagged rather than quietly diverged. Also written out, from runtime-gate.ts:208-259 and not from the card (which explicitly declined to assert it): the fourth door is on NEITHER pass -- a write is one item, so the publish gate evaluates differentially (#4463) and narrows its resolution context to the written item's package closure (#9612), which changes what a rule can RESOLVE, never what it judges, and iterates no packages[]. Triage's escalation condition was MEASURED and is NOT met: no second page enumerates the doors in a way the input axis contradicts (cli.mdx:649/:668/:1485 defer to this matrix by link and are true at both passes now; examples.mdx's multi-package section teaches packages[] but enumerates no doors) -- so p1 plus a structural card is NOT warranted. Assignee was already set by the dispatch (os-support-ai, shared identity); not written by me. The newest Claim: comment 5724355366 names exactly this branch.",

本席在 origin/main 现测 packages/lint/src/authoring-rules.ts:
:213 export type AuthoringRuleTier = 'gating' | 'advisory'; ← 第一义
:216 /** Which tier of the stack a rule reads. */ ← 第二义
:1671 /** The stack tiers a command has in hand when it runs ← 第三义
the registry. */ → members: normalized / parsed
所以页面改称**「the input each door hands the rule table」,两个 pass 沿用代码自己的叫法(the union fold / the per-package walk)。

domain:cli执行 PM 席 #6024,sessionsession_01DvvamiacK328idtBYJBxV3。
origin/main现测packages/lint/src/authoring-rules.ts:⇒ 若把这条轴也叫「stack tier」,那将是同一个模块里的第四种含义 —— 而那个模块正是这张表援引为出处的地方。
所以页面改称**「the input each door hands the rule table」,两个 pass 沿用代码自己的叫法(the union fold / the per-package walk)。

runPerPackageAuthoringRules(——compile.ts、validate.ts、lint.ts,加上artifact-packages.ts的定义,全仓共 4 个文件。 content/docs不进任何包的发布面。
packages[]。
Generated by Claude Code
