What this PR does

Adds Pixeltable as one row in the Vector Databases comparison table in the RAG lesson.

Kind of change

  • New lesson
  • Fix to an existing lesson
  • Translation
  • New output (prompt, skill, agent, MCP server)
  • Docs / website / tooling

Checklist

Docs-only change: one table row, no code. Code, lesson-structure, and ROADMAP items don't apply.

  • One lesson per commit (atomic per-lesson rule)

Phase / lesson

Phase 11 · 06-rag

Notes for reviewer

I cofound Pixeltable. The row is meant as a neutral comparison point, not a product pitch.

The existing table lists FAISS, Chroma, Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, and Qdrant. Pixeltable is a multimodal table with embedding indexes on image, video, audio, and document columns; per the docs, those indexes are maintained on insert, update, and delete, so embeddings stay in sync when source rows change.

Happy to adjust wording if you want it shorter or closer to the other rows.

The RAG store comparison only covered ANN libraries and
hosted/self-hosted vector DBs. Pixeltable is a multimodal table with
embedding indexes on image, video, audio, and document columns that
update when source rows change, which is a distinct retrieval setup.

Readers could interpret the row as saying Pixeltable indexes raw documents directly, while its documented RAG workflow indexes extracted chunks. This is a bounded documentation clarification.
